INVT GD200A frequency converter: multiple braking schemes, accurately matching complex start stop working conditions
1、 GD200A four braking modes, covering all parking needs in all scenarios
In industrial production, different load conditions have vastly different requirements for the braking performance of frequency converters. Large inertia loads require rapid stopping, freely running motors require braking before starting, and frequent start stop scenarios require stable braking capabilities. A single braking mode is difficult to adapt to the application needs of all scenarios. The INVT GD200A frequency converter is equipped with four braking modes: energy consumption braking, DC braking, magnetic flux braking, and short-circuit braking. It can be flexibly selected according to different working conditions, perfectly covering the parking and braking needs of various industrial scenarios.
Among them, the energy consumption braking mode has a large braking torque and fast braking speed, and is suitable for frequent braking of large inertia loads; The DC braking mode does not require the configuration of a braking unit and braking resistor, and is suitable for motors that are running freely after braking first and then starting, as well as situations where torque output needs to be maintained after braking to zero speed; Magnetic flux braking mode can achieve fast braking without additional accessories, suitable for fast parking scenarios with infrequent braking of large inertia loads; The short-circuit braking mode is suitable for scenarios such as quick start stop, or braking first and then starting the freely running motor. The four braking modes complement each other, providing a comprehensive braking solution for various complex working conditions.
2、 GD200A is designed with a built-in braking unit to reduce the cost of heavy-duty braking solutions
For heavy load conditions that require frequent braking and rapid parking, traditional frequency converter solutions require the additional purchase of external braking units, combined with braking resistors, to achieve energy-efficient braking. This not only increases equipment procurement costs, but also occupies valuable space inside the control cabinet, while increasing the complexity of on-site wiring. INVT GD200A frequency converter is designed to address the pain points in this industry. All models ranging from 0.75kW to 30kW come standard with built-in braking units. Customers only need to configure the corresponding braking resistors to achieve high-performance energy efficient braking without the need for additional external braking units.
This design significantly reduces the overall cost of heavy-duty braking solutions for small and medium power ranges, while also reducing the installation space for peripheral components, simplifying on-site wiring processes, and lowering wiring error rates. For high-power models of 37kW and above, INVT GD200A frequency converter also provides standardized external braking unit and braking resistor selection solutions, which can accurately match corresponding braking accessories according to braking torque requirements and braking utilization rates, providing a complete braking solution for high-power heavy-duty working conditions.
3、 GD200A common DC bus scheme achieves efficient utilization of braking energy
In the industrial application scenario of multi machine linkage, the traditional braking scheme of a single frequency converter will consume the braking energy in the form of thermal energy through the braking resistor, resulting in a large amount of energy waste and exacerbating the temperature rise inside the control cabinet. The entire series of INVT GD200A frequency converters support a common DC bus scheme, which allows multiple frequency converters to connect their DC buses in parallel. This allows the braking energy generated by the motor in the generating state to be directly utilized by other motors in the electric state, greatly reducing the power loss on the braking resistor and achieving efficient recovery and utilization of braking energy.
The common DC bus scheme not only significantly improves the energy utilization efficiency of the system, reduces the energy consumption cost of long-term operation, but also reduces the number of brake resistors and heat generation, lowers the heat dissipation pressure of the control cabinet, and improves the operational stability of the entire system. The common DC bus scheme of INVT GD200A frequency converter can be adapted to various multi machine linkage production lines, multi roll transmission equipment, elevators and other application scenarios, providing customers with efficient, energy-saving and stable system level solutions.
4、 GD200A precise braking control effectively reduces the frequency of frequency converter fault protection
During the braking and start stop process of the frequency converter, it is highly susceptible to problems such as rapid deceleration and sudden load changes, which can cause DC bus overvoltage, output overcurrent and other fault protection, resulting in frequent equipment shutdowns and affecting production efficiency. The INVT GD200A frequency converter is equipped with advanced overvoltage stall and overcurrent stall control functions. During deceleration, the output frequency is adjusted in real time to avoid excessive motor power generation caused by rapid deceleration, which can lead to overvoltage on the DC bus of the frequency converter; During the acceleration process, the output frequency is dynamically adjusted to avoid excessive load caused by rapid acceleration, which can lead to overcurrent faults in the frequency converter.
At the same time, the four braking modes of the INVT GD200A frequency converter have undergone precise algorithm optimization, which can achieve smooth control of current and voltage during the braking process, avoid current surges and voltage fluctuations during the braking process, significantly reduce the frequency of frequency converter fault protection, and improve the stability of equipment continuous operation. Whether it is frequent start stop heavy load conditions or fast stop scenarios with large inertia loads, the INVT GD200A frequency converter can achieve smooth and reliable braking control, providing strong support for the continuous and stable operation of production.
